1 note &
Consider it an act of God.
Jack Warner, National Security Minister (and former Works and Infrastructure Minister), commenting on the devastation in Diego Martin.
Quote of the Day

Warner went on to say that the land slippage is due to “monumental neglect” and to declare that the government couldn’t fix everything in two years. He also admitted that they had focused on dealing with flooding in Central because “this never happened in Diego Martin for a long time.”
Mind you, just last year, flooding wreaked havoc in Maraval (and Diego Martin too). At the time, Works and Infrastructure Minister Warner referred to the situation as a ”natural disaster compounded by human activity”. He condemned the reactionary nature of our culture and blasted the developers who were steadily eroding the hillsides.
That was less than a year ago.
Action Jack, ladies and gentlemen.
